Project Technical Coordinator
Al-Ard for Agricultural Development is an independent Palestinian civil society organization dedicated to community-based agricultural development and the protection of and advocacy for Palestinian land rights and farmers. “Al-Ard” means “the land,” and caring for the land is at the heart of all that we do. As Palestinians were indigenous to this land, we are its caretakers, and it is with that in mind that we at Al-Ard work towards indigenous sovereignty over land, food, and natural resources to strengthen the resilience of the community.
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Technical Coordinator to join our team in Ramallah, Palestine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of various projects, providing technical guidance and support to project teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the implementation of agricultural development projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to project objectives, and compliance with donor requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, partners, and stakeholders on agricultural best practices, land rights, and sustainable development.
- Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and identifying challenges or potential delays.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of project activities.
- Prepare regular project progress reports, including financial reports, and submit them to donors and management in a timely manner.
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes and impacts, using data and feedback to continuously improve project implementation.
- Ensure proper documentation of project activities, lessons learned, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Support resource mobilization efforts by contributing to the development of new project proposals and funding applications.
- Represent Al-Ard at relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences, sharing project results and experiences with external audiences.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, coordination, or implementation in the agricultural or civil society sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural best practices, land rights, and sustainable development.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Al-Ard for Agricultural Development.
- Very good in Arabic and English is required.
